It was an honor for Transmarinus to attend the naming ceremony of Maersk’s latest dual-fuel vessel, Albert Mærsk, held on February 28, 2025, at APM Terminals Mumbai, India. This milestone event marked the vessel’s official addition to Maersk’s fleet.
Notably, Albert Mærsk is the first vessel owned by a foreign shipping company to be named in India. Vincent Clerc, CEO, A.P. Moller – Maersk, hosted the name-giving ceremony, which was attended by the Honourable Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal.
As the sole representative from North India and an associate of Maersk, we felt privileged to be part of this prestigious ceremony.
